New Student Enrollment
We are currently accepting applications for enrollment for the 2022-23 school year. Current eCADEMY K8 students do NOT have to complete this process.
Students do need to reside in the APS boundaries to enroll. We serve students in all four zones in APS. If you aren't sure, use the "Find My School" tool by looking up your address. As long as your address matches an APS neighborhood school, you can proceed with the application. Click here on this APS website to find your school based on where you live to look up your address.
As an APS magnet school we feel that it is important that prospective families know how we are unique as compared to traditional brick and mortar schools. As part of our application process, we ask that you carefully read the our documents related to Attendance, Discipline and Learning Coach and Family Role details. Additionally, we recommend reviewing the APS Student Handbook. During the application process you will be asked to acknowledge that you have read and understand these documents. If you have any questions, please contact our or office by phone during office hours. We do not, as of April 2, have an expected date for notifying applicants of their acceptance for the 2022-23 school year. Please check your email and our website for updates.
Finally, as part of our application screening process, we will want to make sure to connect you, if needed, to our team that services students with diverse needs. If your student has a 504 plan, IEP, an identified need for ELD Services or has SAT documents in process, we want to make sure that your service connection continues uninterrupted. Please review the information below if you are unsure if your student receives any of these services.

The turn around time from application submission to enrollment is two weeks as our enrollment team works hard on a large surge of applications. We are processing applications in the order they are received.

Section 504 is a civil rights statute that provides certain protections to special education and general education students, employees, parents, and community members with disabilities.
Students with disabilities who do not qualify for services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 1990 (IDEA) may have rights if they are eligible under Section 504.
A person who has a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more major life activities, such as caring for oneself, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, or working, has a disability under 504.

English Language Development (ELD) refers to an instructional program for students who are developing proficiency in English. English Language Learners (ELLs) refer to the students who are enrolled in ELD classes. Many ELs are fluent in more than two languages when they begin to learn English.
Each public school child who receives special education and related services must have an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Each IEP must be designed for one student and must be a truly individualized document. The IEP creates an opportunity for teachers, parents, school administrators, related services personnel, and students (when appropriate) to work together to improve educational results for children with disabilities. The IEP is the cornerstone of a quality education for each child with a disability.

Each school has a Student Assistance Team (SAT) whose purpose is to support the progress of students struggling with the general education curriculum despite the use of differentiated instruction and universal interventions. The SAT develops Tier 2 interventions for at-risk students who are not responding to the Tier 1 core program in the general education environment for students who might need supplemental, strategic, and individualized support.
