Clubs and Activities

SY 21-22 Clubs coming soon!

Below you will find the clubs that were established for students during the 20-21 school year.  Shortly after school begins, we will again reach out to students to inquire about their interests in clubs for this year.  Keep an eye out for communication in late August.

Club Invention

This is an open-ended exploration club that promotes creativity and builds 21st- century skills.  Students use their imagination to customize a self-driving robot.  The robots are then guided to complete obstacle courses students have designed. This club is restricted to Elementary students in grades 1-5.

  • Meeting times - Tuesdays 3 - 4:30 PM
  • Required Supplies - Will be provided, however, families will need to pick them up form us on April 5th.

Dance (Breaking, Popping, Krump, and more)

Are you interested in Dance? Dance club is an amazing way to get moving, learn different dance styles, and have some fun! We explore a variety of dance styles throughout the semester, such as break dancing, popping, krump, hip hop, and more! We will learn how to battle, freestyle, and move to music! 

  • Leaders - Priscilla Del Aguila
  • Meeting times - Thursdays, 3:00 - 4:00 PM
  • Required supplies - Shoes, space, and comfortable clothing

Drawing and Painting Art Club

Club members can expect to come to Drawing and Painting Art Club and work on art together with a certified art teacher to help!  Students can work on their own ideas or choose from a wide range of activities available through the Drawing and Painting Art Club Google Classroom page.  Demonstrations and Q&A sessions will help support those who need help, otherwise, come in to have fun creating!  This club is open to all students at eCADEMY K8.

  • Meeting times - Tuesdays, 3:00 - 3:30 PM
  • Required supplies - Basic Art Supplies- Pencils, Pens, Paper, Paints (If using paints- watercolor or acrylic are best)

eCADEMY K8 eSPORTS allows students to participate in a social, collaborative experience through competitive gaming. (Grades 6-8)

  • Leaders - Sheena Whitaker
  • Meeting times - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30 - 4:30 PM
  • Required supplies - Access to a gaming console or PC that can play Rocket League, League of Legends, and/or SMITE.
  • Club website with interest form

Lego Club

This club may be best suited for intermediate and middle school students.  Younger students with more experience with Legos and building free style can also attend.

Photo Digital Art Club

3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will learn about photography and how to take great pictures. They will also learn about editing pictures to enhance their photos. They will also learn how to make digital art. 

  • Leader - Jennifer Gaillard-Carrillo
  • Meeting times - Thursdays 3:00 - 3:30
  • Required supplies - Something to take photos with. It can be a phone, iPad, or a camera, Chromebook.

Video Game Clubs

Do you like video games? Join the casual Video Game club to connect with your peers and play APS approved video games.

  • Leaders - Samantha Figiel, Nicole Lafleur Sainte Marie, Lisa Dudasik, Twuana Reveile, Joyell Green, Melissa Funnell 
  • Meeting times - Vary by Grade Level
  • Required supplies - Laptop, phone or other gaming device.
